5th Grade Field Trip Committee

5th Grade Liaison: Jill Calcote

Our annual field trip to Reunion Ranch is a fantastic day that our 5th graders look forward to each year. It is the last field trip of their elementary years and we will make it a fun one! There is a zip line, basketball court, mini-golf, play scape, paddle boats and more.

FUNDRAISING

The PTO is generously covering the cost of the field trip, but we need to raise at least $1800 to cover additional expenses such as bus transportation, class t-shirts for the kids, extra activities at Reunion Ranch and graduation supplies. The kids will be voting on their 5th grade shirt design and they will be ordered soon! The plan is to wear these shirts throughout the year as well as on the 5th grade field trip.

We had our first fundraising event at the Fall Carnival and will continue to have these events throughout the year. This will help alleviate the cost for those families who might not be able to cover the $25 per student donation that we are currently seeking.

PTO Family Nights

Family Nights Chair: Casey Donovan

Our family nights have been AMAZING so far this year! We have done a tailgate and a fall carnival so far. Upcoming events include a movie night, glow dance and more! We need volunteers for everything from setting up to cleaning up and running the events in between. Make sure you are receiving our PTO newsletter to stay informed.

Watch D.O.G.S.

Top Dog Chris Bilich: ccmasontopdog@gmail.com

The Watch D.O.G.S. are some of the most popular guys on campus! Come and read to kids, work with them, work on projects around campus, volunteer at various events or just be there to help keep our kids safe.

Wednesday Folders

Volunteer Chair: Leah Ferguson

Volunteers are needed to put school fliers and various other fliers in folders to be sent home with students. Volunteers meet first thing on Wednesday morning in the cafeteria.

Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity & Inclusion Chair: Jasmine Whittaker

We have several Diversity & Inclusion projects throughout the year including “how we celebrate winter holidays”, Cinco de Mayo and more. We can use help creating and putting up these displays throughout the year.

Fundraising

Fundraising Chair: Stacey Lytle

Boosterthon is our biggest fundraiser of the year! We always need volunteers to help us mark shirts at Boosterthon! We also have Spirit Nights throughout the year and could always use help getting the word out on these easy yet effective fundraisers! During the holidays, we will sell gracious grams, friendship grams, etc. We can always use parents to help us sell, package and distribute these fun treats.

room Reps

Room Rep Chair: Heather Nelson

Our room reps do everything from organizing class parties to restocking books and supplies to being a channel of communication between teachers and parents. Each teacher is a little different in what they want/need so each room rep role is a little different. It is a great way to keep informed on what is happening in your child’s classroom.

Brown bags

Brown Bag Chair: Brandi Rogers

Brown Bags are a great way to help out from home! The brown bags committee collects projects that the teachers need done and takes them home to work on them. They can be anything from cutting out shapes to laminating to stapling.
